Earlier this year Cherry was asked by the Association of Online Publishers to design the identity and event collateral for their annual flagship summit, this year held at the sparkling new Westminster Bridge Park Plaza.

From kicking off the project with invites, banners and press ads a couple of months ago, it was great to be invited along to see the final work showcased on the big stage. The bold pixel-themed identity worked beautifully when super-sized, and we took real pleasure from watching the delegates thumbing through the shiny event programme we’d been merrily labouring over for several weeks!

With live tweets from delegates flashing up on the big screen in response to the keynotes (impressively, none of the speakers seemed put off in the slightest), a digital golf booth, and some delicious digital-themed cocktails, it was a tech-laden event offering some real insight into the challenges faced by today’s media owners.

Check out some pics from the event at AOP’s Flickr gallery here.

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

We’re very pleased to announce Cherry is working on the branding and collateral for the Association of Online Publishers flagship annual event, the Digital Publishing Summit 2010.

The theme for this year is Building World Class Digital Media Businesses, and is taking place at Westminster Bridge Road Plaza on 15th October 2010.

We’ve begun rolling out the new branding across web banners, and will be creating flyers, programmes and event graphics in the near future.

Lonely Planet TravelWall at Destinations

Monday, February 8th, 2010

If you made it down to Destinations travel show at Earls Court last week, chances are you stuck your best travel moments from 2009 on the massively successful Lonely Planet TravelWall.

The wall, part of the Lonely Planet stand designed by our incredibly talented Graham (“It’s the biggest thing I’ve ever designed!”), created a fantastic buzz, with hundreds of stickers covering practically every available space by Sunday afternoon.

What a well-travelled bunch the Destinations crowd turned out to be. The Cherry contribution? A mere day trip to Amsterdam!

Cherry and Lonely Planet do Bowlioke

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

Let the bowling commence...

Fun was had by all as we enjoyed a little get together with the team at Lonely Planet. The most significant news of the day is that the Cherry Kingpins remain undefeated despite a rather shakey start to the evening’s entertainment. Needless to say the karaoke inspired many moments of hilarity that have been banished to the Cherry archive forever, this way we spare our blushes and more importantly your ears! Well, maybe one clip couldn’t hurt…

This year we’ve gone for digital motherboard chic…

(for the record, the last time we saw anything this ‘Fresh’ he was dittying about smelly cab drivers whilst fortuitously relocating from the basketball courts of West Philadelphia to a palatial mansion in Beverly Hills…)

Cherry brand and website for Tesco’s ‘Mum of the Year’

Friday, November 6th, 2009

A while back we were approached and asked if we would donate a prize to the Tesco Magazine’s ‘Mum of the Year’ award. We looked into the award  – every year Tesco looks out for women who’ve shown incredible bravery and dedication or who have campaigned tirelessly to help others or inspired others beyond belief – and decided we wanted to be involved.

The winner, Iris Billing, is a phenomenal woman. She founded the charity Tanya’s Courage in memory of her daughter, who very sadly passed away in 2005.

Tesco’s knew that Iris really wanted a new brand and website for the charity, which is where we got involved – providing both, free of charge, for the worthy winner. The new site has just gone live, it’s well worth a look. Keep up the great work Iris and team!
